The world is full of things to see and experiences to be had. Those who hate the hassle of planning a trip, but fully enjoy taking them, can even simply take part in gay vacations, allowing them to leave the planning to others, while they enjoy life-changing experiences. And, one of the great things about LGBT tours is that you can take them almost any time of the year, depending on where you plan to travel.

Brazil is one excellent example of an ideal gay travel destination. Rio de Janeiro is home to world-famous beaches, such as Copacabana, as well as the amazing views from Corcovado, which holds the historic Christ the Redeemer at the summit. Exceptional shopping and a lively nightlife are also waiting for those who are looking for a truly memorable time in this beautiful paradise.

If you want an urban getaway instead, you will find much to see and do in the lively city of So Paulo. The city has a legendary LGBT club scene, which is perhaps the largest in the world. There is also unforgettable Brazilian dining, historic museums and top tier shopping at some of the best upscale stores around.

If a European vacation suits your style, gay vacations to Spain are an excellent choice. The city of Barcelona is widely considered the most LGBT-friendly city in Europe, and there is positively no end to things to see and do. There are the breathtaking buildings by Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona, Granada's Alhambra and the world-famous Guggenheim Museum located in Bilbao. Ski trips to the Sierra Nevada range are also popular options for gay vacations, especially around the areas of Malaga and Torremolinos.

For a bit of local culture, there is almost always some sort of village fiesta going on. These are typically religious in nature, but can be a great deal of fun, and often continue until well into the night. When you want to take a load off, sit at one of the many quaint street side cafes and soak in the atmosphere as you people watch and rest your feet after a fun-filled day of exploring.

Of course, there is much more to Europe than the vibrant country of Spain. France is another hot destination, where visitors can take D-Day tours through Normandy, visit the castles of Loire, go wine tasting in Burgundy or spend their entire vacation attempting to see and do all that Paris has to offer. And then, of course, there is London, which is a perfectly decadent destination for gay vacations.

While visiting London and taking in the sights, you will not want to miss Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, and you should also consider riding the London Eye, taking a cruise down the Thames and touring St. Paul's cathedral. After a long day of taking in the sights, there are fabulous stage shows and a rather lively nightlife, including what are considered some of the best LGBT clubs in the UK, including Heaven, The Shadow Lounge, Ruby Tuesdays, Fire and more.

If you dream of sun-soaked beaches, ancient ruins and delicious local dishes, the Mediterranean is an ideal location for gay travel or for taking part in organized gay tours. Enjoying the natural beauty of Crete or spending an afternoon haggling in the markets of Athens is a great way to spend time between visits to historic sites. If shopping that is a bit more glamorous is more your style, Athens is also home to plenty of upscale shops and boutiques.

Egypt is a land of hypnotic rolling dunes as far as the eye can see, blazing pure blue skies and history nearly as old as modern civilization itself. This unique gay travel destination promises plenty of adventure and memorable experiences. Standing on the Giza Plateau, beholding the majesty of the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids of Giza, you are sure to enjoy seeing sights that hearken back to some of man's earliest days.

There are exciting destinations for gay vacations around the world. Whether you visit the farthest reaches of the globe on gay tours, or prefer individual travel to popular LGBT travel hot spots, you are sure to make memories that will last a lifetime, while having the time of your life.
